'Cloud 9' 59 Chambered Reissue Les Paul Ice Tea Burst #CR94059
Very Rare! 2004 Gibson Custom Shop Chambered Reissue '59 Les Paul Standard Historic from the first run. Also known as 'Cloud 9's', these rare Les Pauls are much sought after by LP players who want a proper Historic Reissue without the weight. The "Les Paul Chambered" is constructed in a simular manner as the Gibson Johnny A. The design of the chambers is different to a LP Elegant or a weight relieved model. Basically, the Maple top sits on a tonally carved Mahogany bowl with strategically placed stress blocks between the top and back. Highly resonant, it looks and sounds like a 'normal' 59 and as you back the volumes off it has an airy tone reminiscent of an ES-335. Its in good condition but has been used so some worming on the back but not through the lacquer and a few small dings (see photos). Nice '59 neck profile, Burstbucker 1 & 2 pickups and the usual historic hardware, so bumblebee caps, lightweight tail piece, etc. With original vintage correct Lifton style case, tags and cert. This is a super cool and very rare Les Paul thats sounds amazing and won't break your back at 7lbs 2oz!!
