Custom 24 ‘Deep Purple’ Limited

After the huge success of our Custom 24 'Blue Fade' Limited runs last year we wanted to follow up with something just as special for this year. 

So here it is.......The World Guitars Custom 24 'Deep Purple' Model.

During the 23 years that Jeff owned Machinehead Music in Hertforshire Paul Smith was commisioned to make two very special runs of Custom 24 guitars to celebrate the 10th and 20th anniversary's of the store.

Both of these Limiteds runs were in a one off  'Deep Purple' finish that was exclusive to Machinehead and invented especially for Jeff, a total of 30 pieces were made.

Now, in 2012 Paul has agreed to make us just 24 pieces as another 'WG' exclusive that we are equally excited about.

We wanted Custom 24's again in a colour very similar to those old Machinehead guitars.

PRS have tweaked a custom colour called Armando's Amethyst and come up with an updated 'Deep Purple' especially for World Guitars.

In additon to this amazing, vibrant colour we have included some awesome custom updates to the standard 2012 Custom 24.

These Limiteds will have the latest 2012 59/09 pickups with the new contoured bobbins, phase III locking machineheads, V12 finish and the latest 5 way switching.....best of all though we have had all 24 of these amazing guitars updated to the beautiful Modern Eagle Bird inlays!

In addition they will also have a hand signed logo on the front of the headstock, a signed back cavity plate and a Limited run certificate.

This 'one off' limited run will be available in various versions as follows

6 x Quilted '10 Tops' with Pattern Thin necks
6 x Quilted '10 Tops' with Pattern Regular necks
6 x Flame '10 Tops' with Pattern Thin necks
6 x Flame '10 Tops' with Pattern Regular necks

We don't have any photos of course as these superb guitars haven't been built yet but we have 'photoshopped' a 2012 Custom 24 body but needed a neck with Modern Eagle Bird Inlays so you may notice only 22 frets ( could not find a 24 fret neck with the ME Birds to use)...hope this gives you a good idea of how stunning these Limiteds Custom 24s will look!!
