Fender’s new Red October amps present several of the most popular Hot Rod series models decked out with a distinctly U.K.-flavored cosmetic treatment and speaker design that produces a quintessentially British guitar tone. The Red October series consists of familiar names, but the difference is that all five are wrapped in “Bronco Red” textured vinyl covering, with black grille cloth, white knobs and, for the first time on Fender guitar amps, white piping encircling both sides—a classic U.K. touch. And to get that specifically British voice—tighter low end and crunchier midrange with more bark and bite—all five amps are loaded with Eminence Redcoat series speakers, rated at 75 watts and featuring red baskets. The Red October Hot Rod DeVille 212, Hot Rod Deluxe and Blues Junior are loaded with 12” Eminence Redcoat Wizard speakers; the Red October Hot Rod DeVille 410 and Pro Junior are loaded with 10” Eminence Redcoat Ramrod speakers.
