2021 Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '51 Nocaster Heavy Relic in Dirty White Blonde. Absolutely stunning super light (6lb 7oz!!) Ash bodied '51, highly resonant. Dale Wilson has worked his magic here!. He's well revered for his Relic work and this is no exception, the attention to detail is amazing. A nice amount of authentic looking wear to the thin nitro finish. The back of the rift sawn neck has his lovely worn smooth feeling you get on a well played vintage Fender, again a hard thing to get right. With a nice 59 Esquire "C" neck profile, 9.5" radius and medium 6105 frets, it plays great. Hand Wound 50-51 Blackguard pickups sound superb and work well in the light weight Ash body. Just the right amount of bite from the flat pole bridge pickup and a lovely warm tone from the neck. The full spec can be seen in the photo of the traveller (see gallery) You can see why Dale's work is so sought after! It's been in a collection, barely been used and is in as new condition. Dale is the most popular of the Masterbuilders, so much so that he has now closed his order book as lead times exceeded 4 years! If you were able to order this now, it would cost well north of 11k....
