2017 Gibson Custom Shop #CC43 110. This is a particularly nice Limited Run Collectors Choice which is a replica of the Mick Ralphs Burst #8 7049. They really went to town on these and scanned the original in great detail so the aging, top carve and neck profile etc are accurate to the original. It is also full True Historic Spec which is not always the case with the Collectors Choice runs. The aging is very authentic looking with loads of nice crazing, really giving the feeling of an old guitar, even the case is aged!! Its a good weight and sounds great with a woody tone that's very much on the vintage side. The neck is slim for a '58 and more like a '59 with superb light playability. Lovely Dark Rosewood Fingerboard and a rather nice Figured Maple Top too... In Excellent condition (as new). It sounds lovely and looks amazing....Original case, Cert and Tags.

Gibson say;
Mick Ralphs' massive tones and searing leadwork are as indelible to rock 'n roll as the sunburst 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard he is known for playing. Now, thanks to the painstaking efforts of the Gibson Custom Shop, that very guitar has been replicated in precise detail as part of this small limited release. The original (serial #8 7049) was studied in London, where its top carve profile, neck contours and pickup outputs were measured. It took months to craft the prototype which eventually earned the final approval of both its current owner and Mick Ralphs himself. This resulting run of guitars captures the one-of-a-kind tone, look and feel of the original through the use of hand-selected woods, digitally scanned contours, mapped wear and checking patterns, historic hide-glue construction and vintage-spec materials. The Mick Ralphs 1958 Les Paul Standard Replica is not only a playable tribute to a legendary guitarist but an instrument on par with the hallowed Les Pauls of the late 1950s in every way.
Gibson Custom Shop's Les Paul Standard Reissue is not just a tribute to the priceless original models -- it's a clone of them. From laser-scanned dimensions to chemically-recreated plastics to color-matched shades of sunburst, every element has been rendered in unbelievable detail. It represents the culmination of decades of work by Custom Shop's expert team -- a tireless quest to bring accuracy and authenticity to the hands of fans. It’s the definition of cool, and it's the best representation of the 1959 Les Paul Standard since the Gibson Custom Shop began making Historic Reissues over twenty-five years ago.
The Gibson Custom Shop uses a body of solid, non-weight relieved mahogany, which blends depth and richness with the snap and clarity of the maple top. The quarter-sawn mahogany neck, which, in combination with the traditional long-tenon neck joint, enhances sustain and resonance as well as feeling great in the hand. These include a one-piece rosewood fingerboard, Kluson™ Deluxe machine heads, hot-hide glue neck fit, a Historic Truss Rod assembly with no tubing, accurate body and fingerboard binding color, new Custom Buckers created in the image of the original PAFs, and period-correct Aniline dye beneath its nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
Gibson Custom’s new Custom Bucker accurately recreates the original PAFs of the late ’50s, using Alnico III magnets and unequal turns of 42 AWG wire in each coil for that characteristic PAF “bite.” These pickups clean up beautifully at the guitar’s volume controls, while Bumble Bee tone caps assist in that warm, singing “woman tone” when you roll back the tone controls. To top it all off, the 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue plays superbly right out of its Custom Shop hardshell case thanks to a trip through one of Gibson’s state-of-the-art Plek machines before it leaves the Custom Shop floor.
