Rare and Collectable True Historic 2016 Tom Murphy Aged 1959 Les Paul Strandard. Still the most accurate reissue to date, with obsessive attention to detail. The only Les Pauls to feature correct double carved and hand sanded tops and necks like the originals. Gibson really went all out with these, completely retooling for the plastics using correct materials and super accurate detail on a new level. A limited number of the run were hand aged by Tom Murphy, this being one of those few. This one is a stunner with the dark burst finish bringing out the Flame in the Maple top superbly. Gibson clearly chose the best woods for these which shows through in the tone. Every True Historic we have seen has been a stand out guitar. Highly collectable particularly being being an aged example. Tom Murphy has personally hand aged this guitar, not to be confused with the current Murphy Lab models... In excellent condition. These don't come up for sale often! Super cool, rare and collectable Les Paul with all Case Tags and Cert etc.
