USA Vintage Reissue 62 Stratocaster with Masterbuilt Neck- SC Relics Sunburst Nitro Finish #V138830
Amazing guitar owned by myself for many years. It started life as a 2001 62 Fender Vintage Reissue Stratocaster in Sunburst. The neck was replaced with an early Fender Masterbuilt Relic item by Jason Davis, its an early '60 style neck with a beautifully figured slab Rosewood fingerboard with 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets and one of the most accurate 60-62 profiles I have felt. Very similar to a genuine early vintage 61 Strat, quite slim at the nut with a gradual increase to the 12th fret. It feels superb and really looks like a vintage neck with nice subtle checking to the headstock. The body has been refinished in proper Nitro lacquer by Scott at SC relics in a very attractive period correct 3-tone sunburst and skilfully aged with genuine looking wear and checking, he certainly did an amazing job! Pickguard and all plastics are by Fat Boy Foley (If you know, you know!) as are the hand wound staggered pole pickups. All other hardware is the original Fender VR. One of the best sounding and most playable non vintage Strats we have encountered... With Fender Tweed hard case. Nice weight at 7lbs 7oz.
