Very nice Marshall JMP 1987 50-Watt Plexi Head 1966/'67 in Excellent Condition!
Iconic amp used by so may great artists over the years. In clean condition with original tolex covering and logo. Its been with its current owner for over 30 years and he has only used at home! Fitted with NOS GEC KT66 power tubes (same as a JTM from previous year) which offer a bit more clean headroom than EL34s. A recent service has been carried out and it works great and sounds amazing!!
Internally it is all pretty clean. It retains most of its original components both inside & out, except for some changed resistors and other service related components to keep it running and safe to use. The important iron works are original and even most of the valves are original or NOS replacements. It may of had two extra speaker outs at some point as there are 2 blanked holes on the rear panel. This is not certain as we have seen blanked holes fitted from the factory before. There is no sign of any extra wires having ever been fitted that would indicate extra speaker outs. As you can see from the photos, the Bulgin power inlet has not been changed. The amp comes with the original power cable which has been rebuilt, but we would recommend finding a more modern alternative.
Plugged into a 1972 Marshall 2045 2x12 we also have in stock, It sounds awesome, reminding us why it was the go to amp for so many over the years...
