2009 Fender '62 Relic Custom Telecaster Brazilian Limited with Hand Wound Abby Pickups. This was from a very limited run with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboards. This was last time Fender used Brazilian rosewood for fingerboards as they originally did in the 60's, and this is a lovely example. Fender originally made 2 runs of these Brazilian limited editions and they were mainly Strats. On the second batch, a fair few were recalled by Fender, but this had sold before it had a chance to be snatched back! Very tasteful Relic job in Faded 3-Tone Sunburst and it looks very vintage. The pickups are highly desirable, wound by the legendary Abigail Ybarra, who worked at Fender winding pickups since the 50's. These are 63's and have that lovely note separation that you tend to get from Handwounds. Neck profile is '65 C with a super smooth feeling, and frets are 6105's. Fitted with Callaham compensated brass saddles. In very good condition. These don't come up often and are very rare and collectable. Most importantly, it sounds fabulous and plays superbly. A very cool double bound Custom Tele. Nice weight at 7lb 5oz. With original Blonde Tolex G&G Custom Shop case, strap and cert.
