2009 Fender '62 Relic Telecaster Brazilian Limited with Hand Wound Abbey Pickups. This was a very limited run with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboards. This was last time Fender used Brazilian rosewood for fingerboards, as they originally did in the 60's, and this is a lovely example. Fender originally made 2 runs of these Brazilian limited editions and they were mainly Strats. On the second batch, a fair few were recalled by Fender, but this had sold before it had a chance to be snatched back! Very tasteful Relic job in Sunburst, and it looks very vintage. The pickups are highly desirable, wound by the legendary Abigail Ybarra, who worked at Fender winding pickups since the 50's. These are 63's and have that lovely note separation that you tend to get from Handwounds. Neck profile is '65 C with a super smooth feeling, and frets are 6105's. In very good condition, no fret wear. These don't come up often and are very rare and collectable. Most importantly, it sounds fabulous and plays superbly. A very cool Tele, actually among the best we have heard.... With original G&G Custom Shop Case and cert. Due to the nature of the wood, UK ONLY.
