2014 Fender Custom Shop Master Design '63 Stratocaster Relic in 2 Tone Sunburst. From a Limited Run, they asked Master Builder John Cruz to design his ideal Strat, so this has some great features. Starting with a '63 Strat with a nice thick Round Lam Rosewood Fingerboard and Alder Body, he has added a few changes to enhance playability and tone without spoiling the vintage ascetic. Special Master Design single coil pickups provide greater output, more midrange and a sweeter tone for soloing, with a reverse-wound/reverse polarity middle pickup for hum canceling in positions two and four. Its custom wiring features five-way switching, master volume control, master tone control and a special blend control built into what would normally be the second tone knob. This blend control offers the neck and bridge pickups together in positions one and five, and all three pickups together in positions two and four. The neck profile is Large 'C' with 12" Radius Fingerboard with rolled edges and Jumbo Frets, Special Brass Trem Block with fatter Trem arm and a lovely Nitro Relic finish. Feels amazing to play, the back of the neck has very little lacquer on and feels super smooth and its very resonant too, helped by the brass block. In Very good condition with original Black Tolex case which has a few marks, Certs, Strap, Lead and tags etc. Very cool Strat...
