Stratocaster 59 Hardtail Thin Skin Time Capsule Faded Fiesta Red R127309

2023 Fender Custom Shop 59 Hardtail Stratocaster Time Capsule in Faded Fiesta Red. 1959 saw the advent of several important feature changes to the Strat including a slab rosewood fingerboard with clay position dots, a three-ply mint green pickguard with 8, 9 or 10 screws depending on the month it was built, and a metal spacer added to the string tree. This hardtail version would have been on the rare side, which ups the collectability and cool factors. This guitar has a lightweight hand-selected two-piece alder body and a rift-sawn maple neck with a 1959 “D” profile, a vintage compound-radius (7.25” - 9.5”) AAA dark rosewood slab fingerboard and 21 medium vintage frets so feels great to play. Hand wound '59 pickups sound superb too and with the strings running through the hardtail body, its super resonant. The 'Time Capsule' finish is a very thin layer of lacquer without relic treatment that allows the instrument to resonate and breath as it should and looks very classy in the nicely faded Fiesta Red. In excellent condition, pretty much as new and in a classic colour, very cool!! Super light at 7lb 3oz. With original case, tags, strap and cert.
