1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Ebony. Lovely old Custom, in remarkably good condition for its 55 years. Some lacquer checking and a few dings and marks but nothing serious. Ebony fingerboard with its original "fretless wonder" frets that are in good order, it plays great. Pickups are the original PAT No's measuring 7.62K at the neck and 7.70k at the bridge, covers have been off and on but no rewinds and a fair bit of wear to the gold plating. Original Pat No bridge and light weight tail piece. The Centralab pots date to '66. Small volute 3-piece neck has a nice '60 slim profile. 2-piece Mahogany body with Maple cap. A great sounding Custom with the pickups offering a nice vintage tone compared to the harsher sounding Customs of the 70's. It's a good weight for one of these too, at 9lbs 13oz. It was brought from ATB Guitars a few years ago and there is a photo of their appraisal that came with the guitar. It has not changed since then. A really nice example of a very cool and collectable vintage Custom that has survived well, compared to many. With the original Gibson Case.
