Stunning Limited Edition 2015 PRS Custom 24 30th Anniversary in Whale Blue with a very nice 10 Top and an amazing Stained Flame Maple Neck! 30th Anniversaries are a great model with a few nice 'one year only additions like the '35th' Birds and purfling around the neck and headstock face, it also has Hybrid Hardware. It was the first year for the 85/15's, which are still the current pickups for 24's, and for good reason. Unusually, this one has a stunning Stained Flame Maple neck too... Very versatile Custom 24 with a wide range of tones. 'Pattern' Regular Profile. In really excellent condition, no fret wear just the very lightest signs of use. This one is very resonant and sounds fabulous. With PRS Hard Case and Tags.

The 30th Anniversary Custom 24 is specially appointed with a unique inlay pattern and commemorative truss rod cover to celebrate 30 years of PRS Guitars and the Custom 24 model.

In addition to the specifications that have remained unchanged on the Custom 24 since its inception (the woods, scale length…), the 30th Anniversary edition features the new 85/15 treble and bass pickups.

Designed personally by Paul Reed Smith in conjunction with the new 58/15 pickups for PRS’s 30th Anniversary year, 85/15’s are uncovered pickups with remarkable clarity and extended high and low end perfect for more modern applications. This blend of tradition and innovation mirrors the culture that PRS developed over the last three decades.

The Custom 24 is the original PRS. When this guitar was introduced in 1985, the combination of a 24-fret, 25” scale length, dual humbucking, tremolo guitar was a distinctive configuration, offering players a new tonal option. Pairing this with a more traditional combination of maple top, mahogany back, and rosewood fretboard helped give the Custom 24 its signature look, feel, and tone. For three decades, the Custom 24 has been a perennial favorite of musicians, defining the playability and tone that PRS guitars are known for.
