1998 PRS McCarty Archtop II in Vintage Amber with Quilt Maple Double 10-Tops. Very rare and not often seen these days. Designed by Joe Knaggs and introduced in '98 along with the Hollowbody. The guitar features a carved maple top and back with mahogany sides, Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard and headstock veneer. This example has really stunning quilted Maple double 10-tops (Top and Back). The Archtop models are 2 3/4" depth at rim, 4" depth at the bridge, feature a 22-fret wide-fat mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, PRS adjustable stoptail bridge, and McCarty Archtop pickups with 3-way toggle. This particular example was featured in Guitarist when they reviewed this model. Nice resonant, good sounding and playing guitar. Condition is amazing with no dings or dongs, it has been in a large collection with the original and only owner. Very cool early first year Archtop in a classic colour with staggering Quilted Maple front and back. These rarely appear on the market and we have never seen one with woods this attractive.. Nice weight too, at 6lb 4oz. With original Hard Case and Tags.
